From the spark of an idea to the realization of a dream, the journey of Unicorn Cats Publishing began with a single moment of inspiration and a fierce determination to succeed.

My story

Every great journey begins with a story. Ours is no different. Established in 2022, I embarked on a mission to provide high-quality book creation services at reasonable prices. What started as a humble beginning has since grown into a thriving enterprise.

My approach

My vision is based on my own book publishing experiences. I searched for a few publishing solutions, finally settling on the Vellum app for Mac. Vellum consistently delivers exceptional and personalized epubs and PDFs you can upload to your Amazon account. I’ve worked hard to keep costs low. As an author myself, I understand monetary limitations. That’s why I work hard to produce a quality book you can be proud of.

ABOUT OUR SERVICES:

Unicorn Cats Publishing Services offers e-book & print book publishing services to authors and poets.

Using your *edited Word Manuscripts & Vellum, Unicorn Cats Publishing Services can create e-books and print files for fiction, non-fiction, and poetry books.

I will format your manuscript to upload to Amazon and other platforms.
I will also provide you with digital files: EPUB & PDF.
I can make low-cost book covers for EPUB & Print books using Canva.com. For first-time authors, this is a budget-friendly option.
I can provide minor editing services for poetry books & other types of fiction, cookbooks, etc. Fees begin at $50 per manuscript.
I am not a developmental editor. I don’t do rewrites. For the best results, please have your book professionally edited.
Fees begin at $150.00 USD for EPUB, PDF, EPUB cover, and print book cover. Note: this does not include editing costs.

*Please note: If your manuscript is unedited, Unicorn Cats Publishing Services reserves the right to reject your manuscript.

Please create your Word Manuscript using the industry standards on Amazon for KDP & Print books.
Please use Heading 1 in your manuscript for chapter titles.
Also, use a page break to define the chapters.
Please remove the Table of Contents from your edited Word Manuscript.
If I reformat your manuscript, the price increases. Thank you.

I can create a low-cost Kindle and print book covers using Canva.com. Please contact me for a quote, as the complexity of the covers governs the price. As an author myself, I aim to keep prices low while still offering an eye-catching cover for your book.

Proofing your EPUB

➡️ To view the Kindle version of your e-book, you will need to use Amazon’s Kindle Previewer utility, as this is the only way to preview your book with Amazon’s Enhanced Typesetting. To proof your Kindle e-book:

Start Kindle Previewer and then press Open Book. Select Kindle E-Reader option.

Select the Kindle EPUB file generated by Vellum, then wait for Kindle Previewer to convert your file.

Once conversion is complete, Kindle Previewer will display how your book will appear on example Kindle devices.

Note: Always use the Kindle EPUB with Kindle Previewer, which is the same file you will upload to KDP. Kindle Previewer will display a warning if you open a mobi file.

🦄 You can also send the EPUB or PDF to your Kindle using the Send to Kindle App: Windows Version & MAC Version. Instructions are included on each link. Go into the options on the App to set it up.

Once you upload your EPUB or PDF file, you can see how the book will look on your Kindle Device.

Proofing Your Print Edition

For your print edition, you can use the Preview utility that comes with your Mac. You can typically open your PDF in Preview by just double-clicking it.

For Windows-based systems, view your print PDF through Adobe, or another program. You can view your print book on your Amazon Author Bookshelf when you are uploading it to Amazon.com.
