Feline Humor, American Cinquain

Melissa’s hosting dVerse today! I’m a cat mom to two unicorn cats (Chloe & Sophie) I had to write a wee cinquain to go with the image below.

Chloe & Sophie

Here are the instructions:

Choose one of the artworks contained herein, and write a poem inspired by the artwork. Simple enough, right? There’s just one catch–you may not use the word cat anywhere in your poem, including the title. Other feline terminology is acceptable. Do let us know which work you have chosen in your post.

        1. Aww, are you thinking of adding to the family? I love cats. They are so interesting. I’ve never had two alike, either!

          1. My oldest came home from school last week and told me his classmate’s family found a stray cat and is looking for a home for him. He really had to twist my arm😅 (that’s a joke), and we are going over to see the cat tomorrow evening. The classmate’s dad said he will take the cat to the vet and pay to have him neutered.

            1. That’s fabulous! My girls came from the Cat Cafe funded through a shelter. That’s why I call them unicorn cats. LOL! I can’t wait to see the new family member. 💖

  9. In my experience cats avoid eating crow… it is the crows attacking the cats.

    1. I was going for the play on words: Let them eat crow, which means humiliation by admitting having been proven wrong after taking a strong position. I think the birds in the painting might be blackbirds, but I’m not sure. Clearly, I didn’t get my message across. LOL!
